Eagle A.
2008 (электронное издание) 90 с.
In this paper the nature of Scots orthography, especially that of the 18th and 19th centuries, is examined along with some of the more recent well–known or exhaustive suggestions for a normative orthography. The suitability of various traditional practices and the various suggestions made by others will be discussed as regards the establishing of a ‘standardised’ pan–dialectal normative orthography—although the present author prefers ‘regularised’.
